Lincoln manager Peter Jackson was left to rue his side's lack of killer instinct as they failed to convert any of their several chances on their way to a 1-0 friendly loss to TuS Celle in Germany.

Although their opposition also missed a penalty, Lincoln were the better side, while new signings Jamie Clarke and Chris Fagan gave a glimpse of their talent as they were a constant threat throughout the match.

Imps' boss Jackson thought the game was a good workout for his players but stressed that they can not afford to miss as many chances as they did.

"The main aim was to get fit, everyone looked good - and we were missing three players too.

"I saw a lot of positives but we got beat. On another day we could have won the game 10 times."

"We created bags and bags of chances and we didn't take them which is disappointing."
