Jackson looks at Howe now

Lincoln manager Peter Jackson has set his sights on Peterborough striker Rene Howe as he bids to bolster his forward line.

Jackson has seen Geoff Horsfield, Ben Wright, Sam Mullarkey and last season's leading scorer Adrian Patulea all leave Sincil Bank this summer leaving him light on attacking options.

But he has highlighted Howe, who spent last season on loan at Morecambe, as a potential answer to his problems.

"I've spoken with him and we've made contact with his agent and the club," Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

"We're still waiting for a decision on it. If the decision's a no, we're still looking about for strikers who will lead the line."

Howe scored 12 goals for Morecambe last season following on from a similarly successful spell with Rochdale.
